Early Years Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium Statement 2025/2026
Early Years Pupil Premium is funding provided to help improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged children across England. Research shows that these pupils often encounter extra challenges in achieving their full potential and may not perform as well as their peers.
At Pavilion Pre School we regularly review the needs of our children and assess the impact of any provision supported by Pupil Premium funding. This yearly review enables us to allocate the funding strategically to improve children’s outcomes.
The Early Years Pupil Premium funding allows us to provide high quality, early interventions. We invest in training and professional development for our staff. We provide targeted support for those children who may require one to one support, small group interventions and focused activities.

Objectives for Supporting Disadvantaged Children Using the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)

At Pavilion Preschool, we are committed to ensuring that all children have equal opportunities to achieve their full potential. The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) provides additional funding to support the learning and development of disadvantaged children. We use this funding to help close the attainment gap between these children and their peers.

Our key objectives are to:
-
Promote equal access to high-quality early education
Ensure that all children, regardless of background, are able to participate fully in the learning opportunities offered within our setting.
-
Enhance language and communication skills
Provide targeted support and enrichment activities to help children develop strong speech, language, and communication foundations—crucial for later learning success.
-
Support personal, social and emotional development
Strengthen children’s confidence, resilience, and relationships through nurturing approaches and positive role modelling.
-
Improve readiness for school
Help disadvantaged children develop the skills, independence, and curiosity they need to make a smooth transition to school.
-
Engage families in their child’s learning
Work closely with parents and carers to build positive partnerships, share strategies for home learning, and support family wellbeing.
6. Monitor and evaluate impact
Regularly assess children’s progress and review the effectiveness of EYPP-funded interventions to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
