My background was originally in banking and insurance. My journey into childcare began following redundancy and at a time when my daughter was very young. I retrained and became a Childminder achieving a Foundation Degree in Management of Childcare Provision from Liverpool Hope University and I became Chair of the Liverpool Childminding Association. After 10 years as a Childminder I had the opportunity to set up and manage the breakfast and after school provision for a local primary school before joining the Pavilion team.

Away from work I enjoy listening to music particularly up and coming or unsigned bands and am usually found singing (badly) at a gig or festival in my spare time. I am a season ticket holder at Liverpool Football Club. I have a rescue dog called Bow who we were lucky to adopt in 2019 and who most definitely rules the roost!
